The Sparta Ski Team captured the spotlight at the 2025 NJISRA Year-End Coaches Banquet last week. Head Coach Rod Calafati was recognized for the fourth year with the prestigious "Ski Coach of the Year" award. Furthermore, the Boys' and Girls' Ski Teams were celebrated for their exemplary conduct, earning the title of "Outstanding Sportsmanship."

Great turnout for the Sparta Ski Team interest meeting!
The season is already shaping up to be a strong one, and we’re hoping to add a few more girls to the roster before training begins.
A special thanks to our returning athletes who came out to support the team; your commitment and leadership do not go unnoticed! ⛷️💪
We’ll kick off the season at the mandatory Ski Team Launch Meeting on October 28 at 7:00 PM. Here are the five things you’ll need to complete before the meeting:

- Sign the NJISRA Participation & Waiver of Release and bring it to the meeting

Ryan & Pat medal at ROC! Ryan Grycuk finished 8th in slalom and 9th in Giant Slalom, while Pat Fitzsimmons took 9th in slalom. Ryan was named NJ 1st Team All-State, Pat was named 2nd Team All-State, and Finn Kowalski 3rd Team All-State.

This season has been amazing! Our girls rocked it at States, securing 5th place overall and the title of Small Public School Champion. And our Sparta Varsity Boys finished strong in 6th place! Our JV Girls also nailed it with a podium finish at JV State Championships! Bravo Spartans!
