TEAM SCORING

Each team receives 1 point for each team it beats and 1 point for each team it loses to in a race. Wins and losses are only counted against teams in the other conferences for the East & West Mega Varsity League Races; not against teams within your own conference. To qualify as a team in an event, a team must field 3 racers. A ghost time will be issued for the fourth racer which will be 30 seconds added to the worst of all individual combined times that counts in a team time by gender.

Should a team miss a race or not qualify as a team in an event, retroactive wins/losses and future wins/losses will be granted once a team has raced as a qualified team in 50% or more of the season conference races.

State Championships:  10 (possibly 11) NJ high school boys and girls ski teams will compete at The State Championships. The nine teams with the highest winning percentages in the league at the end of the regular season will secure their spots, while the tenth team will be determined by the winner of the Petro Championship. If any classification—large public, small public, or non-public—lacks representation, an additional team will be included, selected from the top finisher in the Petro Championship from that specific group.

This season, each ski team will participate in a total of six conference league races, comprising three slalom and three giant slalom events. The outcomes of these races will decide which teams advance to the NJ State Championships at the season's conclusion. To qualify for the States, teams must complete at least three races.

INDIVIDUAL POINTS

Individual Points are calculated as follows: Conference races will be scored 30-1 for both genders. All 12 league runs will be scored. Individual League Points will be the sum of all points from each run in the 6 conference league races.

NJ STATE HS TEAM: Ten NJISRA racers will be named "All-State" NJ Boys Ski Team and "All-State" NJ Girls Ski Team based on individual league points earned from the 12 runs from the 6 conference league races. The NJ State Ski Team will train and compete at Eastern Regionals at Cannon Mountain in New Hampshire from March 6 to 9th. The 2025 NJ State Ski Team will be coached by Rod Calafati (Sparta), Jim Backman (Pingry), and John Fico (Ridge).

RACE OF CHAMPIONS

ALL-LEAGUE: The Top 35 Boys & 30 Girls will earn the title of "All League" and compete at The Race Of Champions. Race Of Champions Scored:  Individual Conference League Points x 0.15 plus the scored points for each of the 4 ROC runs (Two slalom runs and two GS runs will be scored 30-1).
