SKI TEAM INTEREST & REGISTRATION MEETING
Join us on Wednesday, October 21st at 6:30 PM in the Sparta High School Auditorium for our annual Ski Team Interest & Registration Meeting.
All students and parents/guardians interested in the Sparta High School Boys & Girls Varsity and JV Ski Teams are encouraged to attend. We’ll cover everything you need to know about the upcoming season, including the race schedule, team policies, fees, equipment requirements, training schedule, expectations and registration.
No prior ski racing experience is required. If you love to ski and are interested in learning more about competitive alpine ski racing, this is a great opportunity to find out what the Sparta Ski Team is all about.
Attendance is required for athletes planning to participate on the team this season.
START PREPARING NOW!
It’s time to start getting ready for the season! Now is a great time to check your race equipment and make sure everything is in good working order. If you have questions about race skis, boots, poles, helmets, or other equipment, please feel free to contact me.
Although our organized dryland training will not begin until November, I encourage all athletes to start preparing now. Participating in a fall sport, following a preseason workout routine, attending an alpine training camp, and carving some turns at Big Snow are all great ways to build fitness and get your skiing ready for the season.
The better prepared we are when the season begins, the more we can accomplish on the hill!
I’m looking forward to seeing everyone back on the snow. It’s going to be another awesome season!
See you soon!
